DWTS’ Evan Lysacek "Sad" to See Kate Gosselin Go

Parting is such sweet sorrow.

After Kate Gosselin reached the end of her road on Dancing with the Stars Tuesday, her competitor Evan Lysacek states he is “sad” to state goodbye.

“I think she did great,” the gold medalist told E! News in Beverly Hills Tuesday night. “She’s so sweet. We’re like family, so it’s hard to see anyone go.”

Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani nabbed Monday night’s lowest score of 15 for their swan-song dance to “Don’t You Forget About Me.”

After hearing her fate on Tuesday (Pam Anderson was the other celeb in the bottom two), the 35-year-old was speechless and teary-eyed. After composing herself, she said, “I am very honored to have been here … It was a good experience.”

She added, “I can’t wait to watch the rest of these people perform Monday … I’ve really grown to love everyone.”

On ABC’s Good Morning America, she called the experience “a great adventure” but admitted she was “very upset” about getting ousted. Who’ll be more upset? Her eight kids, she told Entertainment Tonight.

“They will be shattered, in fact.” Still, she admitted that “going back to my children is always a wonderful thing.”
